Original case beyond repair and missing amplifier...time for an upgrade. New poplar ply case covered in “Black tweed” and silver white plush interior. A battery powered Boss Katana mini was reworked into a new housing covered in matching fabric and fitted into the case for a more modern take on a classic design.

I found myself unexpectedly living in Hastings and began beachcombing as a daily exercise. I found crab claws left on the beach after the fishermen had hauled in their catches, and I embarked upon a regular exercise of painting such things from life in my summerhouse.
One such 'claw' I painted on a piece of oak flooring offcut.
I thought I would commemorate my 'landing' in Hastings with a new guitar and commissioned a JC ES Semi Hollow with the design to take cues from my painting. Left-handed, ragtime nut width, 25.5” scale length, custom inlays 6th & 9th fret, crab claw F-holes and a Right handed Bigsby made to play left handed with custom machined crab claw arm.
I keep the original claw study painting in the string pocket of the case. A little piece of Hastings.
Let's hope that it never turns up in a fisherman's net as that would indicate something fishy going on..."
